Tough Weekend for All Teams

It was a tough weekend for all four of our teams this weekend, with many games being decided by just one goal.

Ladies 1st XI who are currently 6th in the league went up against 7th placed Old Halesonians 1, a single goal from L.Bayliss wasn't enough as the score ended 4-1 to Old Halesonians. They go again next week against 3rd placed Bromsgrove 3s.

Mens 1st XI who sit in 10th place went up against 2nd placed Droitwich Spa 1. It was a close open game with lots of chances for both teams, N.Zaman got a first half goal but Droitwich held on to a 2-1 to win the game.

Mens 2nd XI who sit 4th were at home to lead leaders Bromsgrove 5s who have not lost a game all season. Despite Bromsgroves excellent record the 2nds took the lead with a goal from B.Matthews before two equalisers from Bromsgrove. One more goal from J.Chagger was not quite enough as Bromsgrove got a late 3rd to take the 3-2 win.

Ladies 2nd XI who started the weekend 8th had two games this weekend, first, bottom of the league Old Halesonians 2s who performed well to get thier first win of the season, beating the Ladies 2nd XI 2-0. The very next day saw a game against 7th place Kings Heath 2s. The score reflected the close league postions with a 2-2 draw, great goals from H.Dosanjh & P.Blackburn to get the only draw of the weekend.

All teams go again next week,with both womans teams at home and both mens teams away, COB will be sure to get some important goals and wins.
